Using the Terrestrial Meter
How the meter data is arranged
The Terrestrial TM2 meter has a similar interface to the SatMeter unit.
It is essential that you are familiar with the correct transmitters that are broadcasting
digital TV for your area and that you identify the meter's storage zone for your region.
The data in the TM2 covers all UK digital transmitters, divided into 6 zones. There is an additional 'zone' that contains all of the analogue information.
A detailed list of all of the transmitters is obtainable here.
Data upgrades
Like the Satmeter, the data in the Digital Terrestrial meter can be upgraded to reflect any new broadcast information when it becomes available. The latest dataset file is here.
Connecting the meter to a P.C.
Data changes require the use a software application and the same
PC interface download lead as the Satmeter.
The TM2 download cable is a simple serial interface lead that connects to a serial port on your computer.
The pinout details are available
here, in case you want to make your own.
