Information

There are many Internet sites providing guidance and information on satellite broadcasting, and dish installation in the commercial and domestic environment.

Useful broadcast information is provided by Lyngsat and SatCoDX. It must be remembered that the information on these websites is often provided by volunteer contributors, and that they rely on those people to update the information when broadcasting parameters are changed. Follow the links:

When you are installing dishes it is important to set the angles of the dish correctly. The installation time can be greatly reduced if you look at a site that will calculate the angles for you, based on your Latitude and Longitude. The first link will take you to the xxx site where you can determine your Lat and Long (by specifying your position on a map), before you use the second link to look up the dish angles. Note with the the dish angles that azimuth must be specified in relation either to magnetic or true north.
